April 25, 2020: Poetry + art

This morning I listened to poetry. Each week, Poetry Unbound, part of the On Being Project, shares a poem -- it's read twice, at the beginning and end of the short episode -- and the host offers what he finds special and wonderful about it. It's really lovely.

The Light of the World is one of my favorite books. The life that the author and her husband created, which she describes in the memoir, was full of love, life, food, family, and warmth. Last week, I read this article about the author's late husband's artwork being shown in a gallery in New York. I was grateful for the chance to read more about him, and them.
